Helen Ryan Dobrowski

Helen Ryan Dobrowski has worked with Sarah Colt for over nine years, most recently producing The Gilded Age. Her previous projects with Sarah Colt Productions include Walt Disney, Henry Ford, episodes three and four of God in America, and The Polio Crusade. She has been involved in the research, fundraising, and production of the Co-op City project since its inception, and also works as a freelancer specializing in archival and content research, licensing, and production for Boston and New York City-area producers. Dobrowski came to Sarah Colt Productions from Boston College, her alma mater, where she worked in University Advancement Marketing and Communications. In 2005, she was awarded the Costa-Gavras Social Justice Award for her work on I’m In Here, a series on disabilities by professor and Film Studies chair John Michalcyzk.

Josh Gleason

Josh Gleason is the co-director of the forthcoming Sarah Colt Productions feature documentary, Promised Land (wt). Previously, he directed multiple episodes of Henry Louis Gates’ Finding Your Roots, and worked as a producer on various other documentary programs—including Showtime’s The Circus and PBS’ American Experience. He has also reported and produced stories for This American Life, All Things Considered and other nationally broadcast NPR shows. His 2011 longform radio documentary, Losing My Religion, which followed a Hasidic man who had recently left the fold, aired on WNYC.

Michael Haviland

Mike Haviland is a New York City-based producer and writer of nonfiction television and digital content. Prior to joining the Sarah Colt Productions team, Mike wrote and produced programming for CNNTravel ChannelInvestigation Discovery and National Geographic. He has also produced digital content for leading brands and organizations including the American Lung Association, Comcast and Lambda Legal.
